Delivered in conjunction with regional legal experts White & Case, our two new seminars are designed to give MDs, HR, line managers and in-house legal experts the lowdown on managing staff in these areas, helping you avoid pitfalls in the local law, and flagging up the difference between UK and foreign employment legislation.
The first of the new seminars is scheduled for the 10 November 2010, and places are already filling up fast.
The HR profession has an increasingly global perspective. With more and more businesses looking to diversify their operations or expand into new territories, there has never been a more opportune time to take advantage of open labour markets. However, local legislation often varies considerably from that with which we are familiar at home, and presents considerable challenges for the unwary. If you are operating in another country, then sooner or later you will need to know about local employment law issues – and you will appreciate having at least a basic understanding of their cultural context.
JSB has an unparalleled international reach in the employment law field. We offer ‘open’ training programmes in relation to the law in 30 different jurisdictions – and we offer In-company options for all these and more. Our seminars are designed to deliver a comprehensive overview of the key points of local employment law, to professionals who must be able to manage overseas staff and advise colleagues on how to do so safely and legally.
